Nestor Evmorfopoulos
Nestor Evmorfopoulos is Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Thessaly, Volos, Greece. He received the B.E., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Athens, Greece. His main research interests are focused on mathematical and computational methods for CAD tools and algorithms for integrated circuit design, with emphasis on large-scale circuit, thermal and electromagnetic modeling and simulation. He has published over 70 articles in international journals and conferences, and holds 5 U.S. patents. He received the “William J. McCalla” Award for the best paper at the International Conference on Computer-Aided Design in 2021 and was nominated for the same award in 2012, while he has also received 2 best paper awards and 2 best paper nominations in other international conferences. In 2020 he received a Fulbright award for conducting research at the University of Minnesota, USA, as a Visiting Scholar.
