Each of us has a different image in mind when we hear the words "leader" or "leadership". However, we can all recognize some of the characteristics of a leadership presence when we see it in a group of people, whether it's in a work environment, a sports team, or an epic adventure described in a book, movie, or series. With this distance, it's easy for us to recognize who they are, their strengths, the weaknesses they need to overcome, as well as what they advocate for, what they pursue, and what they fear.

However, when the spotlight turns towards us, we realize that it requires a painful and continuous process of exploration and revision to even have a small description of the above. Our own book is written and rewritten every day with each decision and action we take. While we may not have the ability to rewrite the previous pages, we have a significant influence on what will be written on the next one.

Through this Soft Skills Workshop on Personal Leadership, we will attempt to regain the control we have in our own story. We will reflect on where we currently are, where we want to be at the end of our next chapter, and take our first step towards that direction.
