R&D of Robotic Exoskeleton System | Make your own Power Supply Circuit
HERMES
The HERMES team is the largest student research team in Greece in the field of robotics for medical applications and operates under the auspices of the University of Thessaly (UTH). Specifically, the HERMES team is involved in the development of a fully functional robotic exoskeleton for individuals with spinal cord injuries (SCI), providing them with the ability to perform basic daily tasks. Its goal is to participate in the international competition CYBATHLON 2024 in the "Exoskeleton Race" event, marking the first Greek participation. With the support of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of UTH, the HERMES team is dynamically advancing towards improvement and technological development.
The workshop focuses on the analysis of the basic power supply circuit of the robotic exoskeleton, allowing participants to experience a complete hands-on assembly of this circuit. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to test their knowledge in practice with full guidance from our team members, gaining familiarity and a deep understanding of its practical application. With the help of this circuit, basic electrical and electronic components of the exoskeleton will be discussed, and more aspects surrounding the team's project will be analyzed. Finally, a demonstration of the operation of a part of the robotic exoskeleton will be carried out, with solid proof that starting from scratch, an engineer can create small wonders.
